Vibration When Stopping

I've been having a vibration in the car when I'm coming to a stop. It does not occur (at least that I can feel) when the car is accelerating or cruising. It can only be felt below ~10mph and stops when the car has stopped. Any ideas?

Around the same time this happened (within a month) the ABS module and the wiring harness connection to it caught fire/melted and I had to disconnect it. I don't know if it can be related I'm just mentioning it as a side note.

This shaking shakes the whole car. It's not a small vibration. I can even feel it in the shifter while I'm holding it.

Does it happen when you hit the brakes at higher speeds or ONLY under 10 mph? And does the brake pedal dive towards the floor a couple inches and then act like its having a seizure?

It wont be abs related if its disconnected, its prob warped rotors. When you first drive the car and the brakes are cold does it do it? Or is it after a little bit of driving and the brakes have gotten some heat in them

The brakes don't even have to be applied for me to feel this. It's only under 10mph roughly, that's the only variable. Clutch, brakes, gear the transmission is in doesn't matter. I've been doing just local driving but now that I think about it it seems as though it happens after the car has heated up. I just replaced the rotors this summer which means they are still under warranty. It just sucks that I'll have to pull them to figure out which ones it is.

73000 on the car. Fluids are fine, but for some reason the car will die sometimes if I turn the wheel one way or the other all the way at a low speed.

As others have said--the brake rotors are warped. It is common on all older cars, I just replaced the fronts on my wife's 2003 Highlander a few weeks ago.

The stalling could be a failing IAC. With the engine hot and idling disconnect the IAC electrical connector, engine speed should drop or perhaps even stall--if is does not the IAC is dying/dead. There are resistance tests to confirm this, but first unplug it and see what happens...

From what he said earlier it doesnt sound like the rotors. The stalling is prob from the pressure switch in the p/s. Suppose to up the rpms when at full lock to compensate for the extra strain put on the engine when turned lock to lock

That is a possibility, the p/s pressure sensor reports p/s load to the PCM so that it can tell the IAC to pass more air...

I didn't think that it would be the driveline since it doesn't get worse with higher speed. I just remembered that the night I moved from St. Louis to Indy my car developed a whine much like a bad belt or the tensioner going bad. It was completely random except for that the car had to be above 65 mph for it to occur. It only happened that one night and hasn't happened since. This makes me want to check the P/S first then the rotors. Mainly because everything else that everyone has mentioned has been replaced rather recently.

Thanks for the help guys.
