Cammed And Port And Polished Heads Dyno Results

hey guys. installed stage 2 patriot performance heads and SHM stage 2 cams in my 02 gt. Car also has steeda underdrive pulleys, cai, 24lb injectors, ngk plugs, pypes offroad x pipe, steeda catback exhaust,, 3:73 gears, and short throw shifter.

made 271 hp and 280 tq on mustang dyno

next step is ported intake manifold with tb and plenum. possibly longtube but the car is loud as hell already so idk.

do you know if those number were from a mustang dyno or a dynojet?

in any case i was hoping for some more hp. a/f were spot on. compression tests yielded good results nothing out of the ordinary. could be the cams. might look into some comps of hitechs.

Your right it was from a dynojet(I think)and that being said you should still see a little more with those heads, unless patriots are that bad? I don't know man

I'm pretty sure it's a matter of the #'s being low. I know the #'s are what make us all say I made this but more importantly, how does the car feel compared to before? I would think you'd bee around 310-315 whp bro

not bad, some longtubes would def help numbers and more importantly performance.

mustang dyno's do tend to read lower so take the numbers with a grain of salt.

the way they measure the hp is different i believe. I know a mustang dyno will always read lower then a dynojet. like if your run was on a mustang dyno, then i would expect to see 295ish on a dynojet. but again it's just a number dont worry about it. are you auto or manual? finish the rest of the bolt ons and take her to the track and i'm sure you'll see impressive times as long as you can hook up/drive.

car pulls harder than ever and drives nice. power is higher up in the rpms but the gears help get there quicker still chirps 3rd just as good and 4th gear was useless before now its useable.

The dyno is a tuning tool, not the end all be all of modifications. It'd be interesting to see the power gains over a 'before' dyno.

Not true...

Was the lower pull from stock heads and cams?

He said "shirt throw shifter", so i take it he's got a standard.
