should i plasti dip my saleens... pics...

Im really over my chrome saleens. I always wanted some flat black saleens but farrah talked me into going chrome so i did.... Ive included some pics of my car since the paint job and in the rear pic, you can see the pearl i speak of. Really wicked in person...

Oh... and as talked about in the other thread, my mirrors are painted too.

Plasti dip the saleens or no?

I vote no sir just because your car is absolutely stunning as is. However, since it is plasti-dip, you can see how it looks, rock em for a while, and peel off if it doesn't look good.

I'm jelly of the pearl.

oh and while im uploading pics, i dont think i ever posted a dyno sheet so i wasnt entered in the thread of all the guys power levels and all. I think my intake or springs or something really flattened out my power there at the end. Something did as it didnt really just "fall off".

Oh okay. You're up in northern areas lol. I just love how the chrome goes with that pearl so I don't see flat black going well on it.

I vote no... Your car looks so immaculate right now and by putting your rims in some plasti dip makes it look so generic... I hate how plasti dip looks... Just my opinion

Not too found of the plasti dip look either, but I also can see how the chrome has grown old for you. I don't care for chrome too much myself. Is there anyone in your area that could donate their black wheels for a test fit/photo shoot lol whatever you decide your car does look badass now even with the chromes

The best way I found to describe is it kinda peels off like dead skin except it doesn't rip, as long as it's thick coats. Ive got it on mine right now but it's starting to peel off so I think I'm gonna get them painted black eventually.

You can also put some clear coat on top of the plastic dip to give the black a little shine to it. Trueblue described it pretty good, about like dead skin peeling off. Sometimes you can do good and pull it off in huge chunks. I would do it just to see if you like it. No big deal, will cost less than $20

Damn car looks great man. What hood is that?

At first I was thinking no, but I think black saleens would go really well with the car to be honest.
