cat or resonator

EDIT: I meant to put title as Cat or Resonator Removal.. typo, my bad,

So i now have a bone stock exhaust with flowmaster 44 mufflers welded in. Im looking to remove the cats and/or the resonators. Preferabley the resonators since the cats are on a bend and not the easiest to cut out/weld in since i dont have a pipe bender. I am getting long tubes/catless H pipe and new 'cat' back. Just cant decide on what i want, so for the time being i want to change what i have now for cheap/free.

So are those resonators free flowing, or like a cat? will they really make any difference if removed?

Or do i just remove cats and turn off rear o2s with my SCT? which i know for a fact will be louder (which is what i want).

thanks! ive just never seen the inside of the resonators and not sure if itll change anything with them removed.

If you want it loud...remove both.. thatll make it decently loud and sound amazing.

Thing is I dont to waste 300 bucks on a mid pipe when it'll be useless this summer when I upgrade. Sure I could sell it but still a loss. So just looking for a temporary "fix" till then. I'll do the resonators myself this weekend, if that doesn't do anything out come the cats! Can I just gut them??

Look on craigslist. I've seen plenty of off road pipes for sale cheap there. I bought my bassani o/r x from there for 100 bucks almost new.
