Dumb Question, But it must be answered

lol if my driveshaft spec is 45.5" from CL to CL of U-Joints, what does this mean? Like center line of u-joints perhaps? as in the middle of the u-joint holes in the driveshaft? I'm just trying to get to the bottom of this..the guy on summit wasn't too much of a help, but it looks to be 45.5 from the middle of the hole on one end to the other..

Cl is centerline. It's from the center of joint caps. Check out Dennys Driveshaft and driveline parts High Speed Balanced Steel and Aluminum Drive Shaft Specialist for better explanations

hmm, thanks for the link but I'm still having trouble. this is turning into a pain in the ass. Maybe I should just take it to a shop and let them eye it up and check it out
