stainless steel Vortech oil feed

Who has done this upgrade? The stock brass fittings and line are known to leak, and mine is starting to leak a little more than i'm comfortable with. The lower part of the bracket and entire hose are wet. Today for the first time I saw a drop of oil on the ground. Will the stainless steel upgrade stop the leakage? Sure its definitley not the blower? Thing that sucks about brass is it strips so easy yoy cant really tighten it. I destroyed one of the fittings because of that.

I say buy it, I'm sure if its the brass causing the leak the ss will make it better. I need a new oil line to, mine pushed into the harmonic balanced and cut it alittle but didn't go all the way through. I was thinking of getting a stainless hose made but with brass pieces on the end so i dont have to spend all the money on the ss setup.

Not the blower. Oil feed line has been wet since day 1. The line is pressurized so it probably squirts some on the bracket. It is more dry oil on the bracket and the line is wet. One more thing to add with the intercooler install in the spring.

^ Thats what I planned on doing, but if you change the line to SS with SS fittings on it (vs brass) I would think you would need to change the other pieces that go into the blower to SS too right? Other wise it wont really seal good. Wont be able to crank the line down because the brass will strip, and brass kind of softens.

Correct me if Im wrong though

Might be able to. Yeah you could buy the other pieces at Ace hardware really cheap. A place that does plumbing lines made me a new oil line with the brass fittings on there for $8. Compared to superchargers online charging $25. I was going to have them do a SS line but I was nervous of using that with brass fittings.

Specialty items aren't cheap, mainly because a lot of you guys do't want to buy them so they have charge a lot of money for them. AN fittings aren't cheap either. I've made a lot of stainless steel hoses and the fittings get expensive when you have to start buying a lot of them, like when doing fuel rails.

Spend the money and your oil leaks will be a thing of the past.

Exactly. Better to spend the extra $24 and get the entire kit.
