275/40/18 on a lowered 2001?

i ordered my wheels and tires, 18x9 DD all around with 265/35/18 Nittos all around..

i got an email from American Muscle today saying that those sized tires are out of stock. they said i can either get an alternative tire or wait for them to get new ones in.

so, they have the nittos 275/40/18 in stock and i was wondering if they would fit on my wheels nicely, and if i would have any clearance issues with my car because i have the eibach pro-kit springs which is a 1.5 inch drop. my main concern is the width being too wide for the wheel and rubbing when i turn sharp, and height to clear the fender wells. thanks in advance

you shouldnt have any problems, lots of guys have that same set-up. as a matter of fact i have that same size tire ordered but im gettin the 10.5 in back, should be here in less than two weeks. 17/9 275/40 front and 17/10.5 315/35 rear. But then again ur wheel size is an inch bigger in diameter so im not sure...they have lots of customer bullit wheel pics on americanmuscle.com so look on there and you should find someone with 18's and their tire size...

Here ya go bro, I have that exact set up... and I have had no probs with rubbing. I also have the eibach sports and tokico adjustables all around, along with many other suspension goodies....but it will work just fine.

The previous owner took his scoop grille out and cut a hole in the hood to help it run cooler. He now has a home made grill on it that actually lets the hole in the hood work still. It looks pretty good now. A ton better then it did with no scoop grill.

Haven't had any prob with the tires of front...Yeah that is an old pic, the guy i bought the car from took out the old grill and of course threw it away. So DOC was able to find me one via his Dad and I just bored out the center of the honeycombs and put one back in. My hood already had a hole cut in it under the scoop so it lets air flow to the engine. Does it keep it cooler..... but what the hell no one else here I know of has a functional one.....comon' DOC let cut yours up!!!!!!!!!
