ABS Light on 02 GT

My buddy has an 02 GT and his ABS light stays on all the time and his traction control went off and then back on and stayed on. Im thinking its the ABS control module but not exactly sure. He also let his rear pads go all the way to the pad backing plate. I dont know if that would effect it.

Can be the sensors. Buy some brake cleaner and clean those off first. It is easy and cheap. If not you can look into other causes.

Yeah, if the sensors being cleaned doesn't work, maybe the abs relay or the module.

where are the sensors located? my '00 GT's ABS light came on after a week after installing ceramic brakes pads to the front wheels.
