MMR 4.75 Progress
So some of you keep wanting to know where I am at with this project. Here's the deal.
This weekend I finally got the last of my parts and was able to install the engine. I got it in the car no sweat, there was beer involved and it was 12:30 at night so we stopped there. Saturday I went to the airport to pick up my wife from a business trip she was on then spent the rest of the day with her, so no progress was made. Today I went back over to the shop to get back on it again. I decided to start with the tranny, but unfortunately none of my buddies were around so I had to do it by myself.... that sucked. After much cursing and devising a "presidential solution" I got the damn thing in. Then it was onto the crossmember, starter (I actually got all three bolts in with little effort), A/C compressor, power steering pump, and driveshaft. After all that I decided to call it a day. I'm looking at about four or five more hours of wrenching and then it's time to finally start this beast. I'm anxious, but have decided to not rush anything. It's going to be awesome. To everyone who has answered questions and helped me along the way, thank you very much. Hopefully I'll be running next weekend.

you would have to jack it up high enough to clear the car, I though about doing it this way as well, but since I didnt want to unhook my K I came in from the top.

I wish I could afford one....
Maybe I could build one very slowly over time. I also want to hear this thing soon!

Yes you can drop it in with Longtubess if your running with the stock k member its tight but still goes in, still have to remove the steering shaft, with a tubular k its a breeze
