got the gears.. best rims/tire combo?

i got my 4.10 gears... and install kit . just waiting to be install.
my mustang is now parked for the winter so they will be installed right as spring comes.

i wanna make sure i can hook pretty good once i get the gears installed.
right now i got 17in bullit rims w. badd tires. i cant hook now with stock gears.

i like the look of gloss black saleen rims. found some for a decent price with new tires. the rims are size 18x9 front 18x10 rear. with the gears you guys think itll hook up pretty good? if not what should i get.. its a DD also

I just ordered Toyo R888 for the rears - excellent hook. I went with 305 35 18 as my fenders are rolled - you can clear 315 35 18s (1/2 small on the 18x10 but lots of guys rum them) I went with Toyo T1R 255 40 18s up front

the Toyo's are a nice tire. Do you see the track at all? I run a 315/35/17 NT555drag radial, but I often see the 1/8th.

-BRAIND... what are your goals here?

Are you looking for 1/4 mile grip or a DD tire?

yep - I just ordered new black chrome saleens too...

I was running 17x10.50 bullits before with 315 35 17 Goodyear F1 GS D3s - they were awesome wet and dry at n/a power levels.
