Need new clutch

Stock clutch is starting to slip and looking at getting a high performance one to replace it! Wanted to know people thoughts on a spec stage 2+ with a aluminum flywheel?

Ive heard mixed reviews on the spec stage 2. I went with an exedy stage 1. Good up to about 400hp. Had no problems out of it, feels good and grabs good.

Have you thought about maybe a centerforce dual friction? I have one on my new edge and i also had one on my fox. I absolutely love the grip and feel of my clutch. Just a thought.

I have a SPEC stage 2 on mine and love it. It is a bit noisy, but not bad at all, considering my exhaust drowns it out. It really is only noisy though at the lower RPM's when engaged.

I'm running a Centerforce Dual Friction clutch. It grips good, there's no chatter and the pedal is a little softer than stock. I would recommend that clutch to anyone.

My friend had either the stage 2 or 2+ (can't remember) but it went out on him within like a month... I just got the McLeod SuperStreet Pro with a Fidanza aluminum flywheel and I love it! I'm still about 200 miles away from finishing the break-in period though... Damn winter weather!

When u say noise, is that the release bearing? If not what is the noise?

Rightnow I have a 2.1L big bore kenne bell, with 10lbs of boost. And in the next year or so I'm planning on going in bottom end and also heads and cams. But I basically mam going for a fast street car/show that occasionally goes to the track

Not to hijack but the clutch manual said to wait 450-500 miles. What makes you say not to worry about it? Not trying to sound like a dick just curious

my clutch is a spec 3, which i love, my buddies 02 with a 3650 has a spec 2 and i like it too. i've driven a fox with a centerforce clutch and like it alot also. just depends on your tastes.

spec has a bit of a learning curve. my car is very hard for a person to drive when they're used to something else. i happen to like it, and you CAN slip it, just not like other types of clutches.

my advice is to try to get friends with mustangs to let you to drive their different clutches and see what you like. also factor in what you plan on doing with the car. if you're using a blower or nitrous, you'd want something rated higher than factory.

I'd steer clear of the T56. There are plenty of people who like them, I had one and hated it. First gear sux donkey balls. Pretty strong trans but not the one for me.
