Question

Newbie going supercharged!

Hi everyone!

Was looking for a little help. This is my first post but I've been creeping on here for about a month LOL. Anyway, I'm starting to piece together a Vortech kit over the next 2 months or so for my 2000 GT with 60k miles. I FINALLY found a V1 head unit for a decent price but I can't find any information if its CCW rotating or not. The description says something about it has "straight fins" for universal rotation. However, I cant find out by searching if this means it would work for my mustang? If it helps here's a picture of the head unit..
(edit: have to have at least 1 post before pictures can be posted so see next post).
Thank you in advance! and sorry if its the obvious answer YES since its "universal rotation" but definitely want to have everything sorted out before I buy it and it be wrong since I cant seem to find an answer online!

Thats a curved discharge, you need a straight discharge.

Awee =[ LOL. Thank you though, just so I can be more knowledgeable could you explain the difference to me? also here's another head unit I found but a little pricier and "ODD" considering the description says its a v2 unit with a custom v1 snail. Would this work? If not why not? Sorry if these are basic question I guess I still have a lot to learn!

The other unit...

Also most vortechs you can rotate the snai to suite your own unique situation, but you need a straight discharge unit.

The discharge HAS to be straight. Unless you plan on cutting it off and welding on a new one. And it has to be CCW unit. Heres the straight discharge

Ok got it, for the price of the second one it wouldn't be worth doing the cutting and welding. I'l keep looking but thank you for the quick responses!

why did you go with vortech? are there other superchargers available?

I would like a power adder but im not big on centrifugal superchargers, i prefer roots/wipple. Do you know of such a kit?

You seem to know more than I about the whole thing. why did you chose this specific setup?

Theres plenty. You can buy a Kenne Bell complete kit. Tork Tech kit which uses an Eaton, but you can buy the adapter to run a Whipple. PD blowers are more expensive then centri's. I think thats why you see a lot more people run centris vs PD

you gotta make sure the rotation is correct (ccw). also a tuner kit these days are really getting cheap, you may be able to get ahold of flyinhawian and get one for 2500 with all the parts you need to install a new unit with all new parts minus fuel.
