Drove 7 hours straight in a Procar...and also need help...

Ok, so I'm attending Texas Tech this semester........and it is a 7 hour drive from home So I made the drive up on Saturday and my 'Stang powered through like a champ!! I'm proud of it lol. Did a hour or two of 80 mph at 2600 rpm, and got 22 MPG!!!

However...the next morning I started the car and a pulley started squealing But I'm not sure which one, and I'm not about to start replacing things willy-nilly, I'm in college. It is on the passenger side of the motor only..Any recommendations on tracking it down???

But on a brighter note, I installed my Procar seat before making the drive, and I LOVED IT. My back was not sore AT ALL when I got here. I had a couple short breaks, but that was it. It actually supported me, and made me have correct posture, unlike the shitty stocker. I recommend these seats to pretty much anyone!

spray each pulley as the engine is running with wd 40 or something like that, see which one stops making noise

just spray, takes all of 5 minutes. Idlers and tensioners are known problems on these engines. They arent expensive if it is one of those. Alt is 12 o'clock position, it usually has a grumble if it gives you fits.

How old is the belt, hell could be that

Cycle the a/c on and off...I had a squeal when I bought mine and turned out to be the a/c clutch. Just another possibility.

I was gonna say if it's a high pitched whine, it could be you're low on power steering fluid. My guess is your ribbed idler. Mine went out 2 weeks ago, annoying squeal, but all it was was the bearing went bad. Nothing that a little ol' Gates pulley wouldn't fix.

Ok here we go lol...

Not AC, thank god. I cycled it when I first noticed it and no change. Also not power steering, its on the other side right? I thought about it being the belt, it does look pretty old and was on the car when I bought it. I'll try to find some wd40 and check out the pulleys.

Seats are the Procar Sporstman, $156 a piece. I rigged the electric rails to work with it.

I really like mine so far. Especially after that long ass drive. As long as you sit with correct posture they don't hurt anything. But if you slouch, you may get a pressure point in that part of your back
