2002 GT high mileage Help

Hello all I own a 2002 GT that currently has 125,000 miles on it, when I let it idle for a while and give it some gas a little bit of white smoke comes out of the exhaust, i just replaced the valve stem seals and it is still doing it, any thoughts on what it might be?

Also if I were to get this engine rebuilt and wanted to add a supercharger on to it what all would i have to do to the internals to make sure i could get a good boost on it?

in order to get GOOD boost you would need to replace your internals, if you wanted to stay under 10PSI you wont need to do anything except get a good tune after your supercharger install. the safety of your car boils down to your tune.

Condensation. This time of year water drips out of my exhaust when I first start the car.

If you want boost and are already rebuilding it you should look into lowering the compression a little bit.

Is that the only way that you get white smoke? Does it smell like oil? If so it's 99% a ring on a piston going bad and you need to rebuild the bottom end. I would not out any boost to a motor like that!

No. White smoke doesn't smell like oil. If you are burning oil then you will get a bluish colored smoke and oil residue in your tail pipe. I don't have a lot of experience rebuilding engines, but the times that I've seen bluish smoke on an otherwise good running motor, it was valve seals.

Interesting. Mine just smokes and drips water on the ground. No smell at all. Do you think its the valve seals or rings?

I run 12lbs on a 148k mile motor. No problems for 25k miles now. Before that I ran about 20 bottles of nitrous through it at 125hp and 150hp settings. Keep the power under 450rwhp, dont miss any shifts. Will last along time. Usually.

Thanks for all the answers, It does not smoke while driving nor on start up but when idling for several minutes and give the gas a punch it will puff out, looks to me like white smoke and smells like shit. but the motor runs great? its just embarrassing when i take off from a light and dump smoke on that car behind me..
