headlight adjustment broke

Hey guys, I don't know if this is the right spot to post this but, I have some smoked headlights from AM with HID's well I was out driving around last night and I went out a road with no street lights and noticed how bad my headlights suck. So I came home and tried adjusting them via the allen/phillips screen on top of the light and....NOTHING. not even a budge. Any ideas? I need my headlights

Are the smoked headlights OEM style?

I can't see your sig I'm on a phone...but OEM housings and HIDs do not mix! The light will never be aimed properly and the smoked lenses also reduce light output. I recommend ditching the HIDs if you want to see at night...

That is my point...your housings are designed to aim a halogen light beam, not HID. search this forum for HID lights and you will find tons of threads with people complaining about their new HIDs and they get the same reply im giving you- get retro fitted housings for HIDs or use halogen bulbs.

Before I put the HID's in Ihad regular lights are they was still pointed down at the ground.

The hids bulb shouldn't keep the housing from going up or down. Its like the screw is broke off and all it does is turn. Nothing more

as you can see in the picture, it is hitting the ground more than that white sign

I understand what you are saying and obviously the bulb has nothing to do with housing alignment- that is purely a mechanical issue, however HIDs in a stock housing are not focused correctly. You will blind oncoming traffic.

As for the lights not budging when you tried adjusting them, are they maxed out already? And you are turning the screw clockwise right?

It is possible that the screw is broken, it's only plastic...

I tried turning it both ways, and nothing. I just wanted to bring them up a little bit, right now it is so low it couldn't even blind a low rider haha

do you think if I added some fog's it will help me a little bit?

I never use my high beams so the fogs would be on all the time

You can order new adjusting screws. As long as the fitting they attach to isn't broken they should pop right on.

I have my 55w hids with no complaints in stock housing to adjust the beat I twisted the bulb around in the housing I'll post a pic n a sec. They are brighter than hell.

When I twisted the bulbs what i meant by that was if the beam seems scattered twist until you see the most light output in the aimed direction.
Low beams

hi beams

I will never use halogen again it just doesn't compare
