A vortech is a centri(centrifugal) supercharger
Alot of people think centri is a brand along with people saying vortech procharger, lol

Yep thought when everyone kept refering to centri it was a type of brand. Ive noticed on the vortechs that they sit on the front of the motor. How much is changed on the intake then?

The vortech usually comes with the intake, its different from stock, on a vortech I would definitely get a power pipe do to the poor flow stock

To an extent, depends on the tune and amount of boost and how fast the boost kicks in

1. Turbo is not harder on a bottom end.
2. I have had a vortech and now a 2.8H KB. The positive displacement blower is by far more fun than the centri IMO. 3. If KB and Whipple are to expensive for you then there are less expensive routes, centri and inexpensive turbo. 4. You basically get what you pay for (when purchasing new).

Man I made up my mind via years of driving/riding many mustang combinations. I started with an aftercooled vortech. Why, because it was in my budget at the time. I already wanted a KB because a coworker put one on his stock 02 GT, the low end torque was insane. I also rode in several turbo GTs and Cobras over the years. Finally when I had the cash flow I built the car with 20 ish PSI via the big KB. It makes the power I always wanted. Could I have done it cheaper, sure but it would not have been what I always wanted.
If you have decent sized local mustang club there are bound to be many FI examples from mild to wild. Typically they will take you for a ride to show you what their stang is all about. I say keep researching so you get what you want and can afford.

kenne bell really needs to re-think that price. they get so much recognition from mustang owners yet they really rip us all off with that kind of price and i hear they aren;t too reliable as well

you would have to have a pretty large KB(2.8 +) to match the hp of twins. A properly setup twin would be a blast but would cost big $$
