EGR delete, Oil sep., and Bama

Today was work on the mustang day. I did the egr delete , installed an air/oil separator, and installed my new BAMA tune. Here's the egr and AOS:

I know the motor is a bit dusty but I think it looks a little less cluttered with the egr removed. If anyone is considering the delete, just follow Tinks instructions and it takes less than 1 hr. The hardest part is removing the tube once u get it all dismantled.

I tried out the BAMA tune and its pretty cool too. It seems a bit more peppy than my 7 yr old canned tune. If u have an auto, a tuner is a must.

cool. story. bro.

What about the PCV on the Dr Valve Cover? Aren't you gonna run that through the Filter??? 'Cuz that's running straight to your CAI...

Looks cleaner. I almost wish I had an auto to see how much the BAMA tune helps.
But..... my manual is just too much fun.

All the research I did said u didn't need to run the filter on the drivers side. Someone correct me if I'm wrong!

Stole this from another forum: PCV valve goes on passenger side. Breather vent is on driver side. Breather vent connects to the inlet snorkel BEFORE the TB and AFTER the MAF (just like the IAC). PCV valve connects to the plenum AFTER the TB.

PCV is under constant vacuum as the engine sucks in air from the passenger side valve cover. That air comes up into the valve cover from the oil pan, and it gets to the oil pan from the breather vent on the driver side valve cover.

The air in the crankcase is therefore METERED by the MAF. If you disconnect one side you create a massive vacuum leak and a lean condition. If you disconnect both sides then you lose a little power from the vacuum pump effect of the system and you build up nasty acidic vapors and acidify the oil a bit.

If you buy my oil air separator kit from me (75 bucks for you for my old kit) then all the oil that the PCV side sucks in with the air will be filtered out and you'll eliminate most of the sludging of the intake and a lot of the carbonization on the back side of the valves.

I'm not sure. On the S197, we usually do both sides...

If u need both sides filtered it shouldn't be too hard to tee the other side into the filter.

Oh it's not. I just wanted to make sure that's the way you need it done. I personally run breathers. But, nonetheless, your engine bay looks quite clean.

Thanks man, I need to get the detail brush out and go to town. I also lost one of the screws to the AOS to engine bay monster, so a trip to ACE is in store. This was a super easy mod, I dunno why I was so intimidated by it.

I couldn't give a well enough answer to that, considering i just got the car. I got this off of casper gt. From what he had said they did. Or at least I believe he said that, cant remember lol. If you wanted a better answer to that, im sure he would be glad to help ya, LOL. I just got into racing last year when we started talking, and I have learned a lot from him. Very good advice
