Considering Size 315 Nitto Nt05's? Look at pics inside

So I got these mounted and have been a little dissapointed by how they bulge on the rim. I have 18x10's. I've owned other 315's before, RSII's right before these and have not had bulge. Nitto's usually run narrow so this surprised me. From a traction standpoint I'm very very pleased, and that's what is ultimately most important to me at my power level. Just prefer not have have a bulge.

Just thought I'd throw it out there for anyone considering these with 10in wide. You will have bulge for sure.

Here's some random pics. And one at the end of the flame pony I put on. Come on...I like it ok?!?!

yeah 315s will usually budge a lot on anything smaller than 10.5 rim. I run nitto Nt05 315s on a 20x10.5 rim and they sit almost perfectly on them

these are the best ones i have where you can see the tires. the pictures make it look like it bulges a little but it sits in there really well. i'll try and get some close ups the next time i have it out.

That's a better look you have there with those 10.5's. I just don't want to look like one of those guys that just got the widest tire he could just thinking it would look cool or something. It's really not that bad but like all of you my car is my baby, I like it to be perfect.

315's on my 17x10.5's were perfect. Both with Sumitomo's and Nitto NT05R's

I have 315s but I also have 11" rims. For a 10" The perfect size is a 285 or 295.

I was thinking about doing this as well. Does it really effect anything other than there being a little bulge?

What air pressure are you running? I run 315s on a 17x10.5" wheel. I wouldn't think that 1/4" per side would cause that much of a bulge. I run 28 psi in my 555s and have no bulge at all. Maybe NT05Rs run bigger. Sumitomos do. When I was running them I dropped the tire pressure down to 24 psi to try to keep the centers from wearing out.

I'm running about 29 psi. And to the guy that asked about differences. I have not noticed a difference other than a major traction upgrade. But that's going to be due to the compound of the tire of course.
