I took one coil off all the way around and no isos. This is with 18 inch wheels and 235/50ZR18 tires. Ride wasn't effected as much as everyone says. I'm still on the old shocks/struts as well. I will be getting new ones next week and an alignment done but here are my before and after pics. I'm thinking about putting an iso back in the back for a better rake but haven't decided yet.

Before

After

Honestly I'm not a fan of the polished/chrome bullitts anyway, so I'd consider that a good move.

Yeah I wasn't big on them either. They were on the car when I got it. Thinking about Chrome FR500s for the new set but I can't decide

I definitely am getting better weight transfer at the strip from the combo of the following:
* went back to the stock springs vs H&R sports (cut one coil)
* added a drag bag to the right rear spring
* removed the front sway bar
* using the low setting on the strange adjustable drag shocks up front
* running nitto 555r's with about 18 lbs at the rear tires and heating them up using the line lock
Now getting more front lift off the line, and no wheel hop what so ever.

My next project is relocating the lower control arms at the axle connection and dialing in the pinion angle. Hoping to shave another couple tenths off the quarter mile times when the track opens in two months.

I've heard that New Edge Mustangs weren't designed to have coil overs in the rear. Spring and shock AND rear weight of the entire car on one bolt? I'll be cutting my rear coils sir.

I really don't think those tires are designed for such low pressure. A slick would be down there but a DR usually works best with more "normal" pressures. What size are the tires and what width wheels are they mounted on?

This is my understanding as well. The shock towers aren't really designed for that kind of vertical load, which is part of why MM sells a plate with a spherical joint to mount at the top of the shock tower when you go CO. Near as I know, their recommendation is to not go CO unless it's a dedicated race car.

I ment to ask if anyone has ever tried using those coil spring clamps u can buy from auto zone? I have some that I bought years ago and never used them... Maybe I should just put those on my eibach springs to bring it down about another half inch to an inch..

For the love of god don't use those coil spring clamps. If anything just cut a littel bit off your spring.
