Will Help a ton. I've got a 3800 with 4.10's and if you have giod tires it helps a lot on the street. Slicks on the track and it takes off like a rocket.

on the street it's not quite as important. it makes it way more fun from a stop light or whatever, but pretty much all the gain is off the line so if you dont race or "have fun" off the line on the street you wont get much benefit from it. however if you took it to the track it's totally worth it, I dropped .5 off my times with just a stall.

Stall is the single most effective mod on a auto car of any kind. Takes as much as a second off of a quarter mile run.

The stall speed is when the engine cannot effectively spin the pump any faster while the turbine is held stationary. A higher stall means the connection between pump and turbine is "looser" so you can spin the motor faster with the turbine still.

For launches and at the track, that means you can launch at a higher RPM, which means staying closer to peak torque/less bogging on launch. You can't beat it at the track. (Except for maybe turbos and a transbrake, but that's a discussion for another day. )

However at the stop lights it means you need to give it a little more gas to transfer the energy through the torque converter. The other consequence of a higher stall is that the higher degree of slip means more heat generated, so you need to make sure your cooling capability is adequate.

yes it's a must IMO for an auto car if you take it to the track. if it's just a street car and you don't race i wouldn't bother. you'll also notice a decrease in mileage. but if you're racing it who cares lol.

So how bad is it I love being on it and I daily drive my car I'm talking 20-30k miles a year so say a 3200 stall would be a bad idea?

I have 4.10s and already only get 170-200miles a tank of gas so I gave up on getting decent gas mileage out of my car reps for a clear answer

lets say i dont go with boost and stay n/a would a set of 4.30 gears be good performance for a auto that i would notice all the time instead of just from a stop light

not bad, i dd my car every day(even thru michigan winter) with a 3800 stall. with my old tune i averaged about 170 a tank, but i just got an sct economy tune and it's looking much better now. if you drive mostly highway you wont notice a drop in mpg's. it will feel completely different if you get a good size converter but it's not really a bad thing, just different. my car feels like i'm driving a car with a cvt trans from a stop light.

A stall won't hurt highway milage since you're in lockup then (4L) but it will harm light to light milage.

would be perfectly fine. my car doesn't get the best mileage but i have cams and still get better mpg than that.

the stall is def. worth it imo. even on the street. makes the car a lot of fun.
