Sct xcal2 tuner
I am bout to buy one of these for 100 bucks. Is this a good deal he says it is unlocked and he just needs to get rid of it cause he sold his car.Im trying to figure out how do I go about getting tunes for this. Is there some where you have to order them from, and is this a good deal?

I bought my xcal 2 from Mustangtuning.com, now AM. Its old so u will have to update it to accept Bama tunes, they will send u complete instructions on how to do so. I don't know if the free tunes for life is a transferable deal or not. U may have to buy a 3 pack of tunes from AM/ Bama. Call AM and they will help u out : 1-888-370-6546

What are your future plans with the car? alot of the simple things with the tuner like shift firmness, shiftpoints, octane, speed limiter and so on and so on can be done without and 'email tune" and if you plan on doing mods that require a dyno tune then all they will need is your handheld to tune it. I picked mine up used adjusted what I could for the first few months but I eventually went with mods that required a dyno tune and my handheld was used and the tunes were loaded into the tuner from there.

You'll need to use the tuner to adjust your speedo with the 3.73's which u can do without a "tune". If u don't know what u are doing as far as adjustments (like me) go the canned tune route. If u are an auto, the canned tunes from bama make a world of difference and are def worth the money. I have no reference on the manual versions.
