yes, then you gotta go pulley by pulley to find the problem.

Could it possibly be my headunit? or the small pulley attached to it? the weird thing is, after i replaced the pulleys the noise went away until it started raining last night and today we sprayed some belt conditner on the belt and that just made it worce

what kind of condition is the belt in? that would be step one to me... look at the ribbed side and see if its dry/glazed and cracking...

Sounds like the belt is your issue. Just take the blower off an start the car nothing bad will happen. Check all the pulleys for play and noise and throw the old belt on. If it doesn't make noise with the old belt then it's the new belt causing the noise.

If the belt squeals when the motor is cold and goes away when its warmed up, its usually a tensioner. Since you changed the tensioner it has to be something else. Are you sure you got all the spacers back in and the supercharger pulley is lined up?

By the way, I ran my car 6 weeks without the head unit when I sent it in to have the seals replaced. Even with superchargers our cars normally operate with a vacuum. The MAF, ECU and injectors are already calibrated to run without boost. It doesn't hurt anything.

You have to grind off the belt gaurd on the tensioner. If you don't it will hit the ProCharger bracket.

Since I have an electric water pump I have drove about 15 mile back home one day when mine broke.

I have had a bad alternator squeal on me. Did you ever start it with the belt off? Did you say the idler beside the SC is still the same? Mine is squealing right now when cold.

Can someone post a pic of how the pulleys should be installed like which direction? and do they need to be torqed down or just bolt them as tight as possible?

Well, I'm pretty much at a loss. I'm running a 108" belt. I've had pulley squeel because of the tensioner being bad. Like you described, a squeeling noise on cold start, then when you spray belt dressing on it, it gets worse. But that was the tensioner. When I watched it, it was bouncing up and down. It should be steady. It should hold the belt tight regardless of rpm.

Seriously? A pry bar to put a belt on? The proper belt will let you just slip it over the last pulley. Youve prob destroyed your tensioner. Do you change your oil with a pick axe and chisel?
