Air bag kits? Voice your opinion.
Who's got one and who's got some info. I dont know about you guys but I was always a lowrider kid and have always been into slammed rides. My dream is to park my whip and let it hit the pavement to go to bed at night. My next big thing other than a supercharger etc will be to bag it. Im thinkin front/back, i dont think I need it to dance. I just want it to slap the ground and look badass or be able to jack the ass up high when I want.

Bags are cool if its a show car.. Emay was going to bag his car if I remember correctly..
Just dont get into that "thug shit" with leaning the car one side then the other, etc.. Just hit one switch and lower all four corners at the same time. |

It can get pretty pricey iirc, I have friends who are into it. I looked into it for my B and found for my goals it wasn't wise. I have to dig up an old pm on another forum. I'll see what I can find.

Lol
Lol well im sorta a thuggish style individual by nature but i agree. Thats what i meant about "dance" I only want front back, i would like the two independant but not side to side.
My overall goal for this thing is basically own the fuck out of everything around it. I want like 650hp in a car thats so clean and nice when I pull up to a car show its not even a competition. Too much to ask? nope im already killing the entire Mustang club in my area and im not even a member yet, Ive been to the mustang car club show here with friends and they where like "Damn you should throw your car in here because its already so much better than any of these" lol. Not boastin im just saying(My reaction is always something like "Give me another 10 years and then i will put it in the car show"). I need some new wheels and candy paint and ITS OVER ROVER! Man im talking pulled motor, all ripped apart again. Candy on the body, Candy on the valve covers, Candy on everything. I really dont think im on the wrong path other than i will never sell the car for what its worth lol. Its the kind of car I will die with I hope and I can give it to someone who will hopefully love it like i did you feel me. Thats my plan.

I wouldn't.
I've seen bags blow during normal driving, I can't imagine what would happen if the cars were raced. ^ are just bags, they will go completely flat or inflated. I think the mustang bags are mounted around struts/shocks and can only collapse a certain amount, but still able to slam the car. Again, I wouldn't.

Good bags are basically the same as the air-ride bags on class 8 trucks. Those puppies handle 40,000lb+ at 65mph for hundreds of thousands of miles. I've never seen one of those blow out, only leak. Also I would imagine that the good setups are prohibitively expensive, because you'd be changing the whole suspension geometry and operation. Not cheap by any means. Plus I'm generally not a fan of the look, but to each his own. You can go all candy paint and bagged, but I'll stick with my beat to hell car, blacked out engine bay, and ported/pullied/cammed motor.

Ya i wouldnt buy them if they werent quality. They have those Firestone ones and stuff but im not sure which are the best. Wont coil Overs just slam it? Im already really low. Maybe not such a great idea in a Mustang? Thats why i made the post lol I knew some of the old folks would get all riled up lol Also i woulnt install them unless it sat like flat on the subframe connectors. Im talkin Layin!

Coil overs are adjustable..and if your already really low, why not just stay there?
Also I doubt any of us are "old" we just dont think bags on a mustang are acceptable.. |

LOl
No offense. Im 30 so im not that young. But i thought it would be more likely that older 40+ would be less into bags. I agree why not stay there. I was hoping somebody would maybe have something good to say about them. Ive heard Air ride is the best ride you can have. How old are you guys anyways?
