please explain plastidip to me

I have been reading alot about plastidip, can someone please explain this process to me and how to do it, major reps given to those who contribute there wisdom.

Will I need to take the tire off the rim to do this?? I have no method of doing so , so will taping off work?
also is plastidip just in matte finishes or is there a gloss option?

plastidip is liquid rubber, I dont know why you would take the entire tire off, Just tape off what you dont want plastidip on.
Since plastidip is liquid rubber i doubt you'll find any gloss finishes. Also the "process" is just like using a can of spray paint. Just make sure to apply alot of coats so it'll come off easier.

Technically you don't even have to unbolt it, but it does help to keep the lugs clean.

Its going to be a flat black. On those 2 wheels above, I only used 1 can for both. Some people use 1 can per wheel. Its however many coats you want to apply on it. Also think about if you want to spray the back side of your rims. I put maybe 4 coats on the wheels above.

It's rubber in a can basically.

Spray it like spray paint. When you use it , use thick coats. If you do it lightly it'll take forever to peel off.

My plasti dipped chrome cobras.

Plasti dipped until I had time to paint it

Peels right off.

I bet it would look sick and if you dont like it, than you just peel it right off. It doesnt damage the original surface. The only prep work is to clean the rims as nice as possible and thats it.

THis is how it comes off rims if you dont like it but it is very durable.
