Another HID Thread...I'm confused as hell...

I always make things harder than the are...what's the best brand to go with? I've searched through the threads and seen that everyone seems to lean towards DDM or VVME, but I hear bad things about both too. So my question is, what are the pros and cons of each one? I'd like to have a bluish white tint, but not too blue...5-6k sound right? Pictures would be greatly appreciated! Also, DDM's website is different than when I checked it out last, I can't find the kits for the Mustangs in the shop by car tab...Thanks for any help!

I don't know what brand I have. But I typed in hid on google and found a guy that sells them and installs. I got them for 80.00 plus 20.00 install. I got 6k. It has a slight blue to it.

Only thing I'd say is wait for someone to chime in about the static issue. When I then my lights on, I get static when the radio is on. Think it's from the ballasts but I can't remember.

I bought mine off eBay a couple years ago. It was a 35watt kit with 10k bulbs, I don't remember what type bulb is needed but you can google that. Just make sure if you buy it off eBay to ensure that the seller has a good rating.

my friend and i both got this kit
NOTTOŽ SE - Complete HID Conversion Kit - 2000 Ford Mustang HID Conversion Kit

my car. 2000 mustang gt 5spd
friends car 98 mustang v6 5spd

i got the 10,000k but it is NOT blue like most hids 10,000 kits. it is a bright white with a SLIGHT blue tint.. not ricer at all,
my friend got the 5000k... pure, bright white. look awsome

sounds too me you'd like the 10,000k kit, like i got. the kit comes with EVERYTHING you need and easy to install... also their customer service is AWESOME. i had a bulb burnout 2 months after i bought the kit, they replaced it for free.. no hassle at all. highly reconmend. ill try to send some pics if i can.

EDIT, i have now added an album with some pics of my car with the 10,000k hids.. check it out

9007 bulbs for headlights and the 880 bulbs for fogs.
5k 35w is bright white, but with ddm they arent as bright as my old lights. My brother has a connection to a place that manufactures them and they are much brighter, and still 35w.

DDM is cheap china made stuff, it works but there are better options for a little more change.
But I have no complaints other than they are slightly dimmer than my old ones.

i just bought a plug~and~play kit from HID Kits | Automotive Performance Parts | Audio And Security - HIDGuy.Net
the ballasts are super thin and will be easy to mount out-of-sight. i got the 35w 6K kit. the beam color looks like it should be a pure white with a hint of blue to it. real similar to the picture posted above.
just gotta get to the install sooner or later lol

Thanks guys! I've never had any HID's so I'm kind of confused, I'm not a wiring guy...Do I need the relay harness? or is that something extra...I'm assuming I need it, DDM has an option for it though so I thought I'd ask lol

and for your mustang you do not need a relay harness. But it is always recommended to keep your wires safe from frying or anything like that.
