Popping?

Has anyone ever heard a popping sound coming from there car? Any time I hit a bump at a slow speed I hear a pop sound and kind of feel it in the gas pedal. I'm not to sure of what it can be Tranny mount, engine mount? Steering, brakes? It's not a miss or anything from the motor please help

I read pooping too! Thats why I clicked...

Get under the car and check out the tie rods and Ball joints. It could even be a axel. Most likely the right side. Does it click while your accel from a dead stop? Do you hear it when you slow to a stop.

There's no front axles to click while accelerating.

Check your front sway bar bushings and end links.

You can check your ball joints by using a floor jack under your front control arms. When the wheel lifts off the ground about an inch. Place the pry bar between the tire and ground, with your other hand at 12 o'clock on the tread. Lift up on the pry bar, if any clunks or movement is felt you need ball joints.

While the wheel is jacked up, grab it at 9 and 3 then wiggle side to side. If there is clunky movement you could need inner or outer tie rods.

Good luck,

There's no CV joint in the front. That's for FWD vehicles. Ours is your typical independent front suspension where it has a knuckle with a spindle that the bearing and hub slide over. A large axle nut affixes the hub/bearing assembly to the spindle and knuckle. The knuckle is attached by the ball joint at the bottom, tie rod in front, and strut on top. It's a modified MacPherson strut suspension.

justAbullitt nailed the diagnosis steps though.
