First step would be finding out what code it's throwing.

Find that out at either Autozone, get a scantool, or use a handheld tuner.

Never happened to me when I did coil. Unllug negitive cable. And press the brakes for 30 sec. Or leave it unplugged for awhile. It'll clear it(not ready) and see if it comes back. Or just go to autozone. Or use a sct if you have one.

Did the plug actually "blow" out of the head? There could be coil or harness damage. Pulling the codes will lead you in the right direction.

It didn't blow out..it just started making the putting sound..didn't even move the coil pack..or harm it in any way

Ok so the code is coming up po136..which says circuit condition..heated oxygen sensor bank..sensor 2...so that had nothing to do with the cylinder I cylinder I worked on i'm guessing

That's a code for the secondary (after-catalytic converter) O2 sensor on the passenger side (bank 1). Most likely it's either that the sensor is failing or the catalytic converter is failing. How many miles are on the car? Stock exhaust?

Is it an off-road h-pipe? If so, it either needs the secondary O2 sensors turned off in the tune, or they need to be replaced with a pair of MIL eliminators.

Ok..i'm curious in why all the sudden I would get bad gas mileage and loss of performance..wouldn't that happen right after the exhaust wad put on?

We really need the full details of what all is going on with your car. Didn't you just blow a spark plug, too? When did the bad gas mileage/performance loss occur? Does the H-pipe have catalytic converters, or is it an off-road h-pipe? Does it have MIL eliminators? Has the car been tuned? Etc, etc. If you want good answers, you need to give us all the pertinent information.

Yes I did have a spark plug blow out..i.repaired that last night..then right after I fixed it and test drove it..the light came on..I've noticed not so great gas mileage before the plug port repair..but i'm thinking it was cause if the loose plug..after I fixed it I can tell a performance change..it doesn't have cats..and i'm not sure about the mil eliminators our the Tune..i'm trying to find it from the dude I bought it from

In that case, it sounds like the P.O. stuck a offroad h-pipe on the car and just left the secondary O2's unplugged.

did you unhook the battery when you did the work? you may have reset your computer. Might have had a tune in it.

I did have the battery die from the cold earlier this late last year..and that might have been when I started getting bad gas mileage..does that mean I have to buy a tuner to get back my gas mileage?..anyone got one for rent?..lol

The battery dying would not affect the tune, it is stored in an EEPROM (Electrically Erasable Programmable Read Only Memory) with a power off data retention capacity of 10 to 15 years, minimum.

Not having cats would cause the P0136 code (others may pop up) if the rear sensors are not disabled in the tune. It may be that the PO did turn them off, but returned the tune to stock before selling the car so as to "unmarry" his tuner. Also it can take 100 to 200 miles, or even more, for the catalyst monitor to complete its tests and throw the DTCs. The tests are only run when certain conditions have been met, for specified periods of time (read more about the cat monitor here).

One last comment. Clearing the KAM (Keep Alive Memory), which stores all adaptive learning tune parameters--fuel and idle air trims, etc.--requires that the battery be disconnected for 5-7 minutes. Disconnecting it and stepping on the brake for 30 seconds will discharge the airbag system's backup power (a large capacitor), however it will not clear the KAM which has it's own memory retention backup supply.
