I always heard a tune, intake, pulley swap and exhaust will get you there or very close to it on those things

in order to take your car and get it tuned do you need to buy a tuner or you just take it top the shop and they do it for you ?

My buddy's 03 cobra only put down 430 with a pulley, tune, and exhaust. Granted it has a bunch of miles, but it still isn't extremely easy. Port your blower, then get a tune (with pulley and exhaust) and you'll be set

take a handheld with you to the tuner and they will dyno tune it from there and load that tune and the factory tune into your handheld. You can get those new or used(unmarried/unlocked). My last two tuners were used and unlocked paid like $180 for them off craigslist.

You will at the very least need a ported/pullied Eaton to hit the 500 mark. Just throwing pulleys on it won't get you there. Also invest in alot of cooling mods. When your spinning the eaton that much in order to make that amount of power it produces alot of heat. Which in turn causes heat soak.

the mods list on the one in this vid is "JLT True CAI Intake, Billetflow 2.9 upper pulley, Afco Heat exchanger, Lethal Performance Intercooler tank, Mac Longtube headers, Lethal Performance offroad x pipe, Bassani cat back, Denso Plugs, RAM Clutch, MGW shifter and it was tuned at Amazon Tuning Solutions. It also has numerous suspension and interior mods too."
but the rest that ive looked up with the mods that i listed seem to be in the 440rwhp-474rwhp range.

Your best bet and wisest thing to do money wise would be to just skip screwing with the Eaton and go with a whipple or KB. You'll hit a wall with the Eaton and end up wanting more anyways.

With a race ported eaton, fully built motor (4.75L at 9.27:1 CR) with a 2.9 upper, 6lb lower, and full catless exhaust with long tubes, I should be between 545-575

watching those things dyno very high in the 300 bone stock is crazy(obviously underrated just like the new 5.0. I know that every car is different but it seems as if every one that i seen (on the net) dynoed bone stock put down some damn decent numbers!

That combo will work but I think he is just asking at a bolt-on standpoint.

I have had experiances with both Whipple and KB's. I am more partial to Whipples though. Really comes down to brand preferance between the two. Although I have heard people complain with KB's customer service. I have never had a problem with either one though.
