Teksid 2V timing set question

Can the timing set on a Teksid be used with 2V heads and stock 2V cam sprockets? Using just the primary chains, crank sprockets, etc. of course. Reason I ask is because I have a bare Teksid and found this timing set: eBay - New & used electronics, cars, apparel, collectibles, sporting goods & more at low prices Anybody know for sure?

The 2V cam sprockets can be used on any mod motor with 2V cams. I'm not sure the primary setup for the 4V motors is the same as timing setup on the 2V motors. Judging by the picture, I'd say the tensioners, and guides are the same. If I had to guess, I'd say you would need a different chain.

Personally, I wouldn't buy this stuff used. I would only buy new OEM stuff. Make sure the tensioners are full steel (no plastic) and the guides with the aluminum backing are an added security.

I bought a full OEM timing set from MHS.

Did you drill the coolant passage needed to run 2V heads on the teksid block?

No, I haven't drilled the coolant hole yet. Still in the parts collecting phase. I was hoping the set I linked to would work particularly because it includes all of the bolts needed, none of which I have. I have to agree that new chains would be a good idea.

Anybody else have any input on this?

crank sprocket will work, the primary cam sprockets are the same, the chains, guides, tensioners all the same. The dohc secondary chains etc are the only difference.

That's what I was hoping. I mean they do call them modular for a reason. Thanks for the info.
