02gt89s first major project

Well this is my very first project on the car for something major I am going to plasti dip my chrome saleens. I'll admit I've never done any major work on my car the most extensive I've done is installing a cai, and I'm wanting to be more independent on these things. To most this is minor easy stuff but I've never really laid a finger on my car.

I will post pics when I get started I'm headed to the store now to buy supplies hopefully I'll be done around mid night.

Supplies that I'm using
1 deck of cards
2 cans of plasti dip

don't hate to much haha like I stated this is the first major thing I've done on the car.

What's the reason for clean ? So you don't have a bumpy finish ?

Also looks like I'll be starting in the morning haha the lady won't let me out and the store closes in 10 mins

Clean is to make sure it adheres right. Be grateful you dont have to sand and prime like normal painting

Lol I opened this thread expecting something crazy. Not knocking you but its not exactly a major thing. Haha. When you spray it, it does kindve look like it will have a bumpy finish but it will even out a little bit. Since its rubber it won't be a smooth surface and it will be slightly textured. Also 1 deck of cards might not be enough. At least it wasn't for me. I ended up using the hard card things you find in magazines and those worked just fine

one deck of cards was perfect for me but i did this on the old 05-06 17inch GT rims. 18 inch rims might need a few more cards.

^^^looking good already lol
