2001 Cobra no start
My buddy just called me saying that his car won't start. He says that he has gas in it and it cranks hard, but just wont fire. He says that he thinks he can hear the fuel pump. This car is bone stock. Any ideas?

My mach 1 wouldn't start one time, ended up being the fuel cut off switch inside the trunk between the driver side tail light and the interior flap. it has a red button that pops out if the car is in an accident. I actually accidentally popped the switch when i took my tail lights out once. which meant no fuel was getting to the engine. it just pops back in.
If not that, could be a ground prob. (engine isnt grounded) or the fuel pump is toast. oh and the last idea is the battery ground cable has a oval shaped washer with two bolts that clamps 2 wires together. one time just those 2 bolts were loose. everything was connected but the battery wasnt getting total power. Hope that helps. Sounds like the car isn't getting fuel

Sounded like no fuel to me but without being there I couldnt listen for the pump myself. I was wondering about the fuel cut off. I'll let him know the suggestions. Thanks guys!
