The 40amp bap will work with a single pump the same way as the 20amp. With the 40amp you have the ability to go with a dual pump setup in the future and still run your 40amp bap. I have a 40amp that I will be adding to my single svt focus pump.

Plus one, if he went to a Super car GT pump he could eliminate the need for the BAP and actually save money. The SVT Focus is overrated because it's specs are at 40 psi and not 60 psi.

The GT pump has not really proven itself to be better. Guys on here running the GT pump are getting the same results as those with an svt pump. There are guys with a single svt pump making 440rwhp. Havent seen the GT pump do any better. Both are almost identical. Some max them out at 380rwhp and others can push mid 400's.

That's what I thought. i bought the Ford gt pump so I didn't have to buy a bap. I maxed my Ford gt pump out at 370rwhp, had to get a bap too.

Well there goes my idea of that pump lol.
I just want to run a single pump that i can basically "drop in" and not run a bap.
My search now continues, I'm still leaninfflg towards the stryker pump

Did you get genuine Ford parts? The reason I ask is there seems to be a lot of variation in results. It could be that aftermarket replacement pumps just don't perform as well (or maybe its the other way around). I'm running an SVT fuel pump without a BAP and I haven't had any problems.

I know the svt is rated a 40 and the gt at 60. I seen the SVT max out on lots of combos when compared to the GT or Aviator pump. I run 2 Aviator pumps ans a bap with stock fuel lines and rails and was only 80% FPDC.

My buddys failed at 420 with a focus pump and a bap.
