I figure the car will make the same hp with 6-7lbs less boost.

I've got a fresh set of ported heads with new guides, valves and high load comp valve springs. They are ported a lot more than the heads I just removed. I also just had my edelbrock intake ported.
Removed head.

My "stock" PI heads that came with the car when I bought in in 02 with 17 miles.

How can you run that much lift on a PI head with flat tops and no PTV issues? Mind = Blown

Well, I found out my block has a broken head bold in one hole. It's not very easy or cheap to get it out. So, I bought some new custom 3.7 bore flattop pistons for my darton wet sleeved bigbore teksid block. I dropped off everything at the machine shop today. The new pistons..

If anyone is interested I will sell the rotating assembly in this thread for $1100 shipped.

I drilled out the broken head bolt and installed a time sert. Then as I was torquing the last arp head stud to 90lbs it snapped. So, I drilled it out and installed a time sert in that hole. It didnt hold when I torqued it to 90lbs. It pulled the insert out.
Thought I was screwed at that point. I then bought a 18" section of 1/2" all thread. I drilled and tapped the hole for the 1/2" all thread. I then drilled and tapped the All thread for 11mm 1.5 thread, which is the size of stock threads. It held and the engine is built and I plan to drop it in tomorrow.
My home made insert..

Gotta say I admire your desire to make things work.... I would have done something of the same. Nothing worse than getting all the way through a build and realizing you gotta start over!! I just did it with my 4.6 then upon reassembly it peeled a thread in the connecting rod. Had to pull the rod, buy a new H beam and now its back together. What a bitch. Been a pain the whole way!
