More Questions...
Ok, so before Xmas this Forum helped me modify my son's 2002 GT. He is a Marine and was coming home from Iraq. Well the upgrades were a wonder, for just a few intake Mods, exhaust Mods and that tr3650 fluid change the trip from the Airport to Home put a smile on His Face...Then while Impressing some Female at 3am He scrapped off a wall using the U-Turn lane. Every one was safe ...EXCEPT THE LITTLE PONY...well I have a few non body questions...IS there a Rev Limiter on these cars ?? I had the Motor somewhere around 6000 rpms by mistake and felt a definite BOG untill I shifted....Also can I adjust the Clutch from the Firewall ??? The clutch assy is stock
I know that the Master Mustang Owners can again help out this Old Retired Marine |

stock the clutch is not adjustable. in stock form it is a mechanical ratcheting device it think they commonly go out to my understanding. you can purchase an aftermart adjustable one ( many on the fourm do ) as they are not all that expensive
firewall adjuster : Steeda Firewall Cable Adjuster for 1979 thru 2004 Ford Mustang 555-7021 if the pcm is stock and or untuned yes our cars do have a rev limiter.

The stock clutch assembly is supposed to be "auto-adjusting". You can do an "adjustment" by pulling straight up on the clutch pedal and then drive a few miles for it to settle where the assembly will be "adjusted". The clutch will feel funny for a few shifts though. As stated above though most of the parts to this are plastic and tend to stretch, break, strip, ect.........If the car has low miles the stock will most likely still work ok though.
As far as needing a re-flash, I am unsure what you are asking needs re-flashed. If you are saying the rev limiter, a ford deal will not raise or lower it. In order to do that you will need a handheld tuner from either SCT or Diablo. I beleive the factory limiter on 99-04 SOHC 4.6 is 6250. I may be wrong on this though.
