99 v6 swap?
So when i move out in a few months im going 2 be buying a mustang.
Would a a 5.4 triton fit in a v6/br compatible? I was considering a mark 8 if it doesnt. any info given would help

you are starting with a broken leg. Just about everything has to be swapped, braking system, p/s system, harness, pcm, trans, rear end. Unless you find a wrecked GT to pull EVERY THING from you are prob not gonna finish this project. Id honestly sell the V6 and just buy a GT.

Man I hate how everyone knocks swapping to a v8. I did it and it only cost me about 1500 total after selling parts. Check out my garage for a lot of the parts that came with the donor car. Sure I feel like I'm a little bit more mechanically inclined than the majority of people but its really not all that hard. Only took me 3 weekends to do it by myself

It is possible, but I would start with a GT! You will at least have the correct rearend, trans, brakes..... the list goes on. If you want a larger motor start with a GT roller and add the motor and trans you want. I would not start with a v6 car even though it is possible.

Looked into this same kind of swap and was recommended on here to just get a gt.. I was attached to my old car too kinda.. Yet I followed the market sold a 155k mile v6 base model for $3750 bought a gt premium 143k miles for $4500. Honestly would recommend getting a gt because you haven't bought yet so you don't even have to go through this process.
