X-pipes
Anybody know wether an O/R xpipe is better or a catted xpipe is for an 04' Mach 1? right now I have some BBK O/R xpipes. Was thinking about changing them out for some SLP catted xpipes donut can create back pressure to the car. Any ideas?

I decided to have hif flow cats welded onto on Mac o/r x. It cleaned the sound up and the ride felt better on the low end also. Have you thought about getting hi flow cats and having them put on instead of buying a complete catted x pipe

Isn't the back pressure thing a myth?

backpressure/loss of velocity so yes and no. with the lss of velocity you will lose low end power but gain up top. I noticed it clearly with two different vehicles and two different motorcycles I had also when playing with/changing the exhaust.

I have noticed the loss of the low end after installing o/r x-pipes.

Some ppl say they dont notice it. I noticed it as soon as i pulled off in the car after I went with the o/r x. I could notice it even more bc the pick up on the low end came back as soon as i put the hi flow cats on. Some ppl will be str8 up and say they notice it others may say there is no difference but it is and you seen/felt it 1st hand on the low end.
