What is it getting crushed against? The Anderson power pipe puts the air filter in the fender well. You have to cut a bigger hole in the inner fender to get it there. It may be a tight fit and I have scrapped it taking it out and putting it back in, but I haven't crushed my air filter. Here's a pic.

i have an anderson powerpipe on my car, i should have posted that. some people on here will say a procharger does not need a new powerpipe, but i think i picked up a lb of boost with it.

The problem I have with the procharger intake pipe is if I drive it in the rain it seems to suck water if its raining hard enough, and that causes the car to bog down.

Would you post pictures? With the intake at the top of the radiator that is not impossible but unlikely. I have sucked water through my entire system and fowled the MAF which is located after the intercooler. But the water was so deep it came into the cab through the door panels and soaked the carpet.

Mine is the same as yours you pictured above. My car is currently out of commission Due to MAF problems as well. The Bogging down thing has happened on more than one occasion as well after a heavy rain.

Will you notice much of a difference from tucking the powerpie in the fender compared to it sitting in the engine bay?

I think where it mounts to the head unit is outta wack and the filter gets crushed in the hole that leads to the fender, I was wanted something with better air flow... The Anderson power pipe is exactly what I was gonna attempt to make haha

your welcome sjac9999, btw moving the filter in the fender does leave you with some cutting of the fender since procharger has the ic pipe running threw the same hole. also fender mounted filters does reduce intake temps but leaves your filter to get dirty faster and rain water will get sucked up if your not careful.
