What do you think about this car?
Hey guys, I've been out of the Mustang loop for a few years now and decided its time for a new car. I seem to always fall back to the New Edge GT's and I found this one that I am going to look at today.
2004 FORD Mustang GT Coupe 5SP 40th Anniversary Mach1000Audio 80K It looks like a really clean car. Miles look pretty good also. I was looking for something between 50k and 80k. The only thing i notice is that it has deep dish wheels all the way around so i would need to new front wheels. What would you pay for this car? And then, what would you pay for this car if you traded in a 96GT with 220k on it? Like I said, I haven't been into cars for the last few years so I'm not really so sure anymore. Any advice would be great. |

Ya, I do live in the bay area. And I also thought it was a little steep in price. I haven't looked into any forums around here. In fact, I really don't even know of any local forums.

I hear ya on waiting for a Mach or Cobra. I've wanted one for a while but at this point I am just looking for something new. My car has 220k on it and I'm to the point where I am fed up with it. As much as I hate to say it, I kinda need to go through a dealer because I'm a 22 year old college student. I don't have bad credit but I can't get a loan through a bank or credit union because I have student loans out. My only real option is going through a dealership.

I wouldn't rule out a credit union unless you have already talked to one...? I'm a 21 year old college student with quiet a bit of school loans and got approved for a personal secured (secured by vehicle title) loan for 10,500 at 8% through my branch. that's better then most dealerships will do. Granted I have been a member there since I turned 18, my credit is "very good" for my age, and I had a decent income to back it up. But like I said unless you've talked to one id trust them before I would ANY dealership.

somebody cared for the car in your 1st post...take notice to the folding cobra mirrors and the properly deleted rear spoiler...
throw a cash offer at them if you can. i'd imagine out in Cali that price probably isnt that bad. its all going to depend on location as to what kind of price you are going to pay. as for trading in you GT, dont count on getting much...you would almost be better off going to a deal that offers a cash minimum for any running/driving trade-in.

Definitely a little steep, but if they come down to 8000-8500 i'd say get it.

All 99-04 GT's come with 2V. Mach 1 and Cobra are the 4V

Op definantly change the front wheels if you get it. Deep dish looks funny on a new edge. Almost as bad as donks.
