drag radials?

There's a pair of bf goodrich g force drag radials that i found locally on bullitt rims. Are they any good of a radial? I've been using my street tire sumi's at the track and just got my best 60 foot of 2.119. These would solely be my track set of tires so I'm not really worried too much about tread life. I just hate using my tires that still have like 90% tread. How much better will these help me? Thanks for any input!

Oh and there 275/40/17 and right now my rears are 285/35/18.

I figured I might get them cause there for sale for 290 and he said pretty much new with black bullitts so I'm gonna offer 250 and see what he says. But even 290 seems like a good deal right? The size difference won't be a problem at all, like will i still be able to cut a better 60 foot time?

My friend is an advocate of BFGoodrich drag radials. That's all he will run on his 500hp 67 Mustang and they hook great on the street but he does have a little suspension work done.

Well I'm always looking on Craigslist and haven't found that good of a deal yet. And the only site i've actually looked at is american muscle and its more than 290 for a pair of tires, not including rims.

that's decent tread left, but for the track it won't matter as when they get a little less tread they work even better (as long as they're not old and the rubber is getting harder). I went from 275r45-17 sumi's to 315r35-17 nitto 555r's (with wider wheels for the new nitto's) and I cut a 1/2 second off my ET and 2 tenths off my 60' time with no other changes (but I have 420 rwhp and a five speed so tire spin was a major issue). I bought my 10-1/2" bullits and the nittos mounted and balanced and shipped to me from american muscle and the package was around $600, so I'd say go for this deal for what you're trying to accomplish.

^yeah I'm hoping to cut my 60' pretty good with these. He said he's made 1 pass on them and the guy he bought them from made 4 or 5. He said that they were to sticky for him?? Sounded kinda weird but oh well. thanks!

So I've been reading, how bad are drag radials for your stock rear end? I thought that i would be fine with them but i read a couple threads where they can be pretty bad. What's the deal?

drag radials are actually worse than slicks, the way they hook with stiff sidewall will mess up your rearend.
