Oil in intake/MAF

So I just got off deployment this week, after 11 months, and noticed the car was running a little ruff. I dropped it off at the shop to do some new gauges and some little things here and there, and try to figure out what was going on. Turns out, it had a bad exhaust manifold gasket(which explains my horrible fuel economy), and oil was coming from my valve covers, into the intake, which was screwing everything up. Now im stuck with a horrific bill. Anyways, they installed a billet oil catch can to help it out. So my question to you guys, Ive seen people running just little filters on their valve covers, and that is it. I dont want to mess around with getting oil into the intake anymore, and would love to just do that. Any input on if this would be a better setup?

Im currently running an intercooled P1sc, with some head work.

I'm curious about this too. Just a breather on driver side cover

I put breathers on both sides after i took off my pi intake and oil had crossed over every single gasket and filled it with oil .I was like F this and vent them to atmosphere. Its fine as long as its filtered. But make sure you can pass inspection like that. or save your PCV system parts for when you do go.

registered in FL, so no worries with inspection. Thanks for the input though! might just put a filter on it

If you already have a catch can installed I don't see why you would change it, I'm sure the can itself will do the job.
