Paint chipping solutions?

Hello.

I need a little advice how I can fix a couple paint chips on by car hopefully without spending a fortune.

Chip 1:
A couple spots on the front of my hood close to the grill. These chips go down to I think the primer or metal, but not sure which. These chips are so thin in depth that it is leadig me to think that many layers of the origanl paint have been somehow slowly "eroding" around this area. Do you think I should maybe have the hood re-done? I have taken the car to the car wash most of the time, but I think I may start washing by hand since this can't be helping matters. I just got done washing it there & I watched a new chip flake right off. Do any of you think that me even driving down the highway now may make this worse?

All others:
All these are small also, but are a lot deeper so I think most of the surrounding area is in better shape than the hood problem. These also are either down to the primer or metal. The under color I am seeing is a dark grey so maybe it is primer??

THanks all.

To fill in the deep paint chips you can use a toothpick. Dip the toothpick in the touch-up paint and fill in the chip. Takes longer than the touch-up brush that most touch-up paint come with. Take your time.

After getting them filled in and it's fully set, you can buy a 3M product that's clear and adheres to the paint and it'll prevent future rock chips. Fairly un-noticable.
