Motor is installed!!! What time will I run in the 1/4?
For those of you who do not know my last motor had 108k on it and only had 8 or 10 lbs of oil pressure at idle. I bought a junkyard motor with 11k on it and I now have over 20! I put a new clutch in while I was in there too! Now I wonder what it will run in the 1/4. It's a vert with full bolt ons (Lt's, o/r x, 75mm TB & UPP, UDPS, CAI, subframes, lowering springs, control arms, c/c plates, saleen shocks dn strurts, stock cams) 3.73's, and brand new nitto 295/35/18's.

Do you think I could go 13.5? That's my goal.

13.5 is prolly possible on a good night and a really good driver IMO. Ive seen it done with a vert that has just heads and tune leaving on a 2 step on streets. so I dont see why not with full bolt ons an a really good run doing it. more realistic is a 13.7 though

High to mid 13's with a average driver. Faster with a good one.
Make sure to break in the clutch!

I guess I'm not really up on the specs of a saleen suspension, but I'd imagine it's more geared towards handling. Usually things that make a car handle better take away from drag side of performance, SFC's being an exception.
Not sure how good of a driver you are but if you get a good launch and row the gears you might be able to pull a 13.6. This is just bench racing though, my opinion doesn't mean much haha EDIT: Have you gotten it tuned? That could help quite a bit.

I am planning to run it this spring once it's nice out again.
I am going to get my car tuned the first week of march. I will be installing a p-51 fox lake intake manifold right before. |
