Dumb question

OK... What lb does the stock fuel injectors flow at? And also does it matter what color they are, i mean are like all say 24lb injectors one color and all like 42lb another or does that not matter. I was wondering cause mine are green and it seems everyone elses are orangish yellow.

the stock fuel injector in your car should be 19lbs per hour.

yes the fuel injectors are color coated

do you have a tune on your car.... green tops should be 42lbers

I have a tune, i guess, but it was done before I bought the car. I am guessing it was tuned because there are no cats on it and no mil eliminators and there is not a check engine light on. So i am assuming there is a tune.

Yeah I know thats why I am trying to figure this out. Also, I have blown two engines by just doing a burnout could this be the result of to much fuel?

I dont think that it is a result in to much fuel, but if it wasnt getting any fuel then yes a possiblity! Lets see some pictures of your engine and lets see if we can spot anything else different!

I actually did a double check and the injectors are the yellow orange. My bad. Maybe I was looking at a picture and got them messed up!

ok heres my thinking, youve blown 2 motor while burning out. obviously something is wrong and its time to get that car into a competent tuner and have them take a look at the pcm and see if thats your problem. to much fuel isnt gonna blow a motor but its still not good for it

Get a dyno tune bro...

You might have a tune on the car and the person never took it off the car before he traded it in or something...I have seen it happen...A car will have a ton of mdos done to it...The person gets tired of it...They strip it back to stock...But never pull the tune...Makes it a nightmare for the next owner...

Ditto that, bro. These cars respond well to upgrades as long as they are dyno-tuned for them... They just really can't be F'd with without a proper tune. Get that done and they shine...

Personally I would contact the previous owner and see if they have the tuner used on the car or if there is a chip installed. I don't think it would be easy to sell a tuner that is vin locked to your car. How long have you had your car?

Its not easy to get rid of a locked tuner but it happens...Its like $150 for the unlock (I think)...
