HP GAIN VS CAR PERFORMANCE
Hey guys I read the sticky for 1st time mods and I'm wondering if you add a new exhaust system,CAI,short shifter,4:10's will your car actually be faster and gain HP or will your car just perform and sound better? If so about how much would the increase be? Are there any other inexpensive ways to gain more HP and remain NA. Thanks guys

when u say "will your car just perform and sound better?" what do u mean? performance is horsepower unless you're talking about handling maybe? those mods in that sticky are the best bang for your buck to my knowledge...
yes your car will be faster through HP, it will accelerate quicker if u have the gears without any horsepower gains, and it will sound like a bat outta hell with a nice exhaust setup. |

exhaust will give you power. CAI will give you a little hp not that much though. Gears will help you put more of your tq down but the numbers wont really increase. One of the best mods that you can do. And shifter adds no power but helps shifting, the tranny is sometimes a pain in the ass in these cars and is almost a must.

a mid pipe will gain you more power than a cat back will. the stock cat back isnt that bad. the cat back should get replaced, but the mid pipe is a big clog in the exhaust. getting rid of the stock cats and rsonators with an o/r mid pipe, or a high flow catted version will net some power. all the little things will add up to some power, but it still takes money to go fast.
