Help - Throttle Body Install

I'm having problems installing my Summit TB. I've got it installed, but can't seem to get the tb cable to fit in the hole on the cable guide "thingy", on the tb. The hole seems too small. I'm wondering if anyone else has had this problem or am I just doing something wrong?

Thanks for any help.

I just used a large flat head and slowly twisted it in between the opening to separate it just a little, it worked instantly.

Sweet. I'll give it a whirl and let you know.

I didn't want to modify if I didn't have to.

Thanks much!

depends who makes the part, I first went with a 70mm profesional products throttle body "cheap" and I had to us a drimmle to make it fit right, I then up graded to a accufab 75 mm "expensive" throttle body and plennum and it fit perfect with no mod needed. needless to say you get what you pay for.

A little tweak with a flathead seems to have done the trick. Thanks to all who replied!

The new plenum, tb and air intake are in. I cleaned the MAF too.

I took it for a test drive and it's a definate improvement. Pulls nice and even from 3500-5000rpm.

hmm.. what to do next. :-)

I thought it was just the one TB I had that did that man. I just tweeked it with a flat head to get it in. I guess all the summit ones fit a little tight.

Sorry for the tricky install man, glad it worked out for ya...

Next should be a KB!!!

Cams and heads next, unless you plan to go FI then do the heads and cams after the FI.

No worries.. you didn't manufacture it!

As for what's next... I would love a KB and some heads and cams!!

But the $$ isn't there yet. Maybe Santa will strap a blowzilla to his back for me this year..

On the cam front, I see alot of you have. Do you need to pull the engine to do the cams/heads? What does a good set go for?
