ive been on another board asking questions and sometimes i get them to reply and other times i get no answer.. i need to know a few things.. first off i just got my mustang about a month ago i know a good bit about the 2v's but need to know more about mod's i just purchased quite a few goodys this is the list.. steeda udp , diablo sport tuner , slp lm1 ,k&n cai and a pypes offroad x pipe.. im looking at around 25rwhp right?? is the pypes a good brand x pipe and will it be god awful loud?? and my last question is will i need the o2 sensor extension? thanks

thats a very reasonable gain with those mods in my opinion... pypes is a good name brand, and with their x pipe... from what i have heard is quite raspy and fairly loud.... but adding slp lm's its gonna be very loud and VERY RASPY... some people love that though....and to each their own


also, i have a predator and will be selling it by the end of the week, b/c i switched to an SCT flip chip for dyno reasons... you might consider an XCAL2... they are becoming quite popular, and at least in my area, most tuners work with them compared to diablos

i didnt have to have o2 extensions for my h pipe, but for an x it may be different?

some will say you need MIL eliminators, but you can turn off the rear O2 sensors with the diablosport tuner. sorry to break it to you, but you may not see 25 rwhp with those mods. with what i've got done (check the garage for my car), i'm making 249rwhp and 288 tq. decent, but not earth-shattering by any means. steeda udp's are pretty good from what i hear, i'm running the march pullies. only thing i would recommend over your current mods is a JLT CAI over the k&n. from what i've seen, the prices are close and the JLT is a better product. a lot of guys here will tell you that you probably can't beat the JLT and i'm one of them. anyway, welcome, make yourself at home. feel free to ask any q's and post up some pics, man!

thats my next thing on the list probably order it next week sometime.. i wish i would have done alittle more looking around before i ordered all this stuff i just got my diablo today and my k&n will be in monday.. everything else sometime next week..but oh well i hope i'll be happy with it.. anyway.. what should i do next?? i'll get some pictures up probably friday or saturday a buddy an i are going to shoot some pic's friday after work.. thanks for the welcome!

oh yea one more thing.. i have flowmaster 40's on the car now i bought it with them on there.. i was going to sell them to a friend and put the slp's on but if there going to be as raspy as what im thinking should i just sell him my slps's and keep the flows?? and i still need to know if i need the o2 ext so i can order them.. thanks

I just purchased the Pypes catless x. Will be here on friday and goin on saturday morning. I have their 2.5" cat-back now with their Violator mufflers. When I put the cat-back on i lost a good deal of low-end tq. I put 3.73's in and got that all back I'll post some before and after sounds.

gears then SUBFRAME CONNECTORS! i put mine on, and not only did it ride ALOT smoother, but it helped my launches a little bit..... but get them welded on. My BBK's brand new shipped from summit were 160 i believe...and they were completely worth it. I would look into a little suspension. all that torque wont do you much good if you cant hook it!

but keep in mind that if you are going supercharger or turbo then dont do 4.10s..do 3.73s...

Welcome to the site. Steeda UDPs are one of the best brand UDPs you can get. I have the diablo tuner and I am quite happy with it. Depending on where you live some shops prefer to tune with the SCT, but they both do all the same things. SLP LM 1 are incredibly loud, but I'm not a big fan of the sound. Should have gotten the SLP LM 2. Alot of people say X pipes are raspy which in my opinion isn't really true. Yes, they are not as deep sounding as a H pipe or a prochamber, but to call them raspy is over stating it in my opinion. I have a Bassani X pipe with my magnapacks and I don't think it sounds bad at all. I get numerous compliments on my sound. IMO you should sell both the SLP LM 1 and the flows and buy either SLP LM 2, Borla Stingers, Bassani Catback or Magnapacks. To get the best sound out of what you have you could also sell the X pipe and buy a O/R H or a prochamber. You do not need the 02 extentions because you can just turn them off with your tuner.

The exhaust is going to come down to personal prefference. And the only way to find out what you want is by listening to everyone elses. If you want to stay with your X i would sell the LM1 and get a magnapack catback, best combo i have heard for an X. If you want a deeper tone you are deff going to want a prochamber and flow 40's or MAC catback. The rest sounds good. I like my diablo tuner and the K&N intake isnt as good as the JLT in my opinion, but its still good and its not a cheapy ebay chrome intake. Sounds like your off to the right start.
