try and break the seal on the top of the door with a coat hanger to press the unlock button. that should work but if not then break the glass. it's cheaper to break the big window rather than the quarter window.

Where I'm at they won't anymore. Too many people complaining of the damage done by the slim jim and trying to sue. Do you have a tennis ball?
Yes this really works.

you can just use a coat hanger. Be careful with the glass though cause if you flex it too far it will shatter. And cops in cali wont unlock the car for ya. Ive never heard of that. And i know some insurances have it as part of their coverage..

yeah most cops have new lil air pump bags..they barely pry your door or window back and slip the bag in it and then start to pump up the bag and it safley pulls back the door or window to then put there long rod in there to press the unlock button without scratching and messing anything up...after they leave you might have to pry your door just a lil back cuz it will have a small crack in it cuz thats what happened to my wifes neon..i just pulled it back a lil and its fine..way cheaper then 100 dollars

What....?

Neckbonekat, That tennis ball thing was outrageous! I have worked with AAA where I have personally gained access to tons of vehicles via a "rod" and "wedge" that you can buy from your friendly snap on tools rep for 20-30$, but I have never even heard of something that cool and relatively easy. It would have taken me at least another 30secs to open that car........Damn!

Do you see the things thieves can learn if they pay attention in science class?

I have used a knife with a long blade and a thin sharp tip. Go between the window and the insullation just above the door handle. Use the tip of the knife to catch hold of the tip of the little unlock knob that you can still see and pull it up.

On long island there has to be a reason you. IE, child locked in with keys. If its's not an emergency, unfortunately here, they won't do it. They will however, call a tow truck service for you, and have someone come and charge you out the butt for it.

7 or 8 times? It's time to buy a magnetic key holder at that point. LOL

The first thing I did when I seen this tread was go to Youtube and look for the tennis ball thing, and you beat me to it.
