i havent really heard of v8 turnin that high, but i havent really looked in to it, i was talking to the guy at huntsville engines and he said that the motor that he was building for me would be capable of turing 7500 rpms, it just kind of sounded weird.

It's all depends on the cams and springs... it's possible... just depends on what the motor is built with.

I shift at 7200 at the track but can easily take it out to 7500. Def. need a built motor for that though. I had a buddy with a built cobra that would do 8000 before but needless to say it didn't last him long.

yeah its def possible with a good motor, but you better have a badass valve train setup. my car will run up to 7500 but no reason too. just cuz the car will rev that hihg, doesnt mean youll need to. what are the specs for this engine your having built gonna be.

Yes they can NASCAR motors can go up to 9,800 rpm and FORMULA 1 CARS go to I think 16,000 rpm. So yes V8’s can go to 7,500 rpm’s

its all in the build of the engine. the last motor i built reved to 7k but the way i built it i shifted at 6200. the bottom end, compression, cam, valvetrain, intake, and etc. must work together to make 7k useful.
