T-45 to Tr3650 question.

Okay guys, I have a 2000 GT with the T-45 and a 2002 GT with the TR3650.
My shift fork from 3/4 went out in the '02 and so I am going in to replace that and put some new syncros in and stuffs like that.
The '02 is mostly stock while the '00 has full exhaust, and your run of the mill bolt-on.
Long story short, I want the TR-3650 that I'm building in my '00.
All I'm wanting to know is "Are they interchangeable"?
I know theres that one issue with the electronic/mechanical speedo gear, but I was told that they switched over to electronic in 99 so my '00 is electronic.
Any ideas? also, just as a driver preference thing, I've owned the '02 with the tr3650 for about 2 years, and have always loved my tr3650, NEVER had a problem with it.
I just recently got this '00 with the t-45 and it pops out of 4th intermittently which is really annoying, and I plan on making it my weekend warrior anyways, so I'd rather have the built tranny in it, plus I absolutely hate the way it shifts, so this is also a preference issue also.
So but anyways, I've rambled enough, the simplicity of my question is, can I swap the tranny's between the cars fairly easy?
If anything, what needs to be changed to make the swap work?

Yes you can swap a T5 in a newer car. Don't know how well the speedo will work, but they make adapter bellhousing for the T5 on a mod motor.

Or...what you could do is source out a early early Grand Marquis 4.6 block, the had the 5.0 bell housing pattern on the back. Meaning all transmissions and bellhousing that bolted to a 5.0, will bolt to that.

since you have both cars, you have everything you need right in front of you to do the swap.

Well that's what I'm wondering f8l, what exactly needs to be swapped between the cars?
Both speedos run off electronics.. so no worries there, but when it comes to the drivetrain, will I have to swap clutches or anything like that?

Yup. I had a T3650 in my 00 GT. Even looked like the factory harness on it.

...in fact it's still sitting there taking up space. Hint hint anyone near Indiana.

I did this swap in my 00. I got a t3650 from a 02 and put it in my 00. It was a straight swap. the only thing i had an issue with was the REV lights switch. I had to use the one from my t45 trans in my 3650. Everything else was a straight swap!
