race question

ive got a guy at work talking trash.. he has a 95 gt with 4.10's flowmaster mufflers and some draglite rims with good tires he also says he has an explorer motor?? will he take me with all the mods i'll have dont next weekend?? o/r x , diablo tuner , pro.50 shifter ,flowmasters ,k&n cai and steeda udp???? im thinking he might take me with the 4.10's?? should i wait till i get gears or go for it?

a 95 gt with an exploder motor? that is still junk, and slow if its in stock form. a small block ford is a small block ford, minute differinces. he will need to be built to run against you. he will be harder off the line with a 302 and he will hook a little better, but after 40 you will start walking.

my car walked all over my friends modded 5.0 coupe and i was still on the IRS with 327 gears. I think the only mod thing that I had done to my car was exhaust.

we went from a roll and i just left him in first, then pulled him by 2 cars in second and when i hit third it jumped to about 6 cars, and i let out.

cobras and gts are completely different though. go from a 2nd gear roll. if he gets a jump on you, you will start to catch up to him once you hit 3rd.

i have a buddy with a cammed 5.0 cobra with 3.73 gears we haven't raced but i think i can get him, he will leave hard because he's got DRs

you'll take him n/p if you can drive. don't go from a dig, he might get a jump on you and stay ahead with those 4.10's. go from 40 mph roll and you'll def take him.
